| Head Coach Mike is a Colorado native, he attended John F. Kennedy High School and holds an Associate of Arts degree from Mesa State College, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix. Mike has taught in Denver Public Schools for the past twenty years, and is a Dean of Students at TJ. This will be Mike's 25th season of coaching wrestling , and his fifth season at TJ (Campus MS, Denver South HS, Eaglecrest HS, Grandview HS, Highlands Ranch HS, Thomas Jefferson HS, and Thunder Ridge MS). He has coached 6 state champions, 41 state placers, and 122 state qualifiers. Teams that he has coached have won five league titles and one regional title. Mike has been named the Denver Public High Schools Athletic LeagueCoach of the year three times (with the last one being 2008-09). He and his wife Linda have two children, Matt and Cory. |
